//spielend-programmieren// is German and means roughly **programming while playing**.//

[[http://spielend-programmieren.at|spielend-programmieren]]// is a firm in [[wp>Vienna]], [[wp>Austria]] , founded and run by [[de:personen:horst:start|Horst JENS]] and offers 
computer-programming courses for young students ((minimum age: 10 years max age:18 years ... or ask for adult courses and prices)). The courses focus on game programming using [[wp>Free_and_Open_Source_Software|free/open source software]] like [[wp>Linux]] and [[wp>Python_(programming_language)|Python]], [[wp>Pygame|Pygame]] (for 2D-games) and [[http://www.qcake.org|QCake]] (for 3D-games) and several other programming tools and languages.

Official language during the courses is German,  but can be changed into English depending on the students language skills.

Students are expected to come 2 hours per week to take classes. Courses exist Monday until Friday, 16:00 until 18:00 or 18:00 until 20:00. Sometimes compact courses exist during the [[http://www.schulferien.org/Ferien_Oesterreich/Schulferien_Wien.html|Austrian school holidays]] with 3 hours per day 9:00 until 12:00 am, usually for 5 days in a week. Please note that because the official homepage is in German language, the European date format is DD-MM-YYYY.
